Kemp Gouldin founded "Because Baseball" to bridge the gap between the East and West through the game of American baseball. Americans and Egyptians alike came together to run clinics for the Egyptian youth in preparation for the first ever Egyptian Youth Baseball League

June 2025 - Historic Event
In the spring of 2025, Because Baseball will again partner with Major League Baseball for International Play Ball Weekend. The children of Egypt will participate in a weekend of baseball with others around the globe, joined by a VIP coaching staff.
Spring 2018 Baseball Coaching Exchange
The first ever Egyptian Baseball Coaching Exchange took place in Richmond, VA at the Collegiate School. A collaborative effort, this immersive person-to-person exchange built life-long friendships and produced the most highly-trained Egyptian-born baseball coach in the sport’s history.
First Ever Egypt Youth Baseball League
The Fall 2019 Egypt Youth Baseball League was a huge hit - more than 120 youth aged 8-12 plus their parents learned and played baseball. The kids were very talented, quick learners, but most importantly, had a lot of fun.
